Quebec Major Junior Hockey League results

From Sydney Wednesday:

Cape Breton Eagles – 8
Saint John Sea Dogs – 6

Cape Breton goals: Shawn Element (2), Félix Lafrance (2), Connor Trenholm, Ryan Francis, Nathan Larose, Jarrett Baker

The Eagles (7-8-0), who snapped a two-game losing streak, are in a three-way tie with Halifax and Saint John for third in the six-team Maritimes Division with 14 points, four points behind Acadie-Bathurst for second, and two points up on last-place Moncton.

Cape Breton has won two of the first three games in the 12-game season series between the teams.

 

From Charlottetown Wednesday:

Charlottetown Islanders – 5
Halifax Mooseheads – 3

Halifax goals: Markus Vidicek (2), Elliot Desnoyers

River Denys’ Colten Ellis didn’t play between the pipes; he dressed as the back-up goalie.

The Mooseheads (5-6-4), losers of three straight, are in a three-way tie with Cape Breton and Saint John for third in the six-team Maritimes Division with 14 points, four points behind Acadie-Bathurst for second, and two points up on last-place Moncton.

Charlottetown has won three of the first four games in the 12-game season series.
