The Eagles (7-8-0), who snapped a two-game losing streak, are in a three-way tie with Halifax and Saint John for third in the six-team Maritimes Division with 14 points, four points behind Acadie-Bathurst for second, and two points up on last-place Moncton.
Cape Breton has won two of the first three games in the 12-game season series between the teams.
