PEI extends leave from Atlantic bubble

PEI will not re-enter the Atlantic bubble for the time being.

In the PEI Legislature Thursday, Dennis King, the province’s premier, announced they’re extending their leave from the bubble until at least Dec. 21.

King originally announced their withdrawal from the bubble due to rising COVID-19 cases in both our province and New Brunswick Nov. 23; that decision was set to expire Dec. 7.

The extension to Dec. 21 means PEI’s current border restrictions will remain, including the required 14-day isolation of anyone entering the province for non-essential purposes.
