We could be in for a messy weather mix Tuesday.
The latest forecast from Environment Canada indicates between five and 10 centimetres of snow will start in the morning, then change to rain by the afternoon; there’s a risk of freezing rain for the mainland during the transition.
Guysborough Co. could get as much as 25 millimetres of rain, while the rest of the Quad Counties are expecting just two-to-four millimetres.
Wind gusts could hit 80 km/h, except in Guysborough Co., where they could be as high as 100 km/h.
