River Deny’s Colten Ellis stopped all 19 shots he faced for Charlottetown and was named the game’s third star; Antigonish’s Sean Stewart was also in the Islanders’ line-up.
Antigonish’s Adam Tkacz dressed as Halifax’s back-up goaltender.
The Mooseheads (8-12-5), losers of three straight games and five of their last six, are second in the six-team Maritimes Division with 21 points, 15 points behind Charlottetown for top spot, and a point ahead of Cape Breton and Acadie-Bathurst, who are tied for third.
The Islanders lead the season series 7-2.
The teams meet again in Charlottetown Friday night.
