It’s the fourth and final regular season game between those teams; the Pirates have won two of the first three, including Sunday’s 9-8 overtime win in Eskasoni when Cameron Gillis scored six goals.

Puck drop at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre at 7:30 p.m.

The Pirates play for the second time in as many nights when they meet the Miners in Membertou Saturday night.

The Battle of Nova Scotia resumes in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Cape Breton Eagles host the Halifax Mooseheads.

The Mooseheads (9-13-6), who have one win in their last six, are second in the six-team Maritimes Division with 24 points, 16 points behind Charlottetown for top spot, and a point ahead of the third-place Eagles (11-13-1), who have one win in their last four games to sit three points ahead of fourth-place Acadie-Bathurst.

The season series is tied 5-5 after Halifax won 4-3 in overtime in Sydney Tuesday night.

It’s the first of back-to-back home games for the Eagles, who host River Denys’ Colten Ellis, Antigonish’s Sean Stewart and Charlottetown Saturday afternoon.
