A man charged in a stabbing in Inverness Co. has entered not guilty pleas in the case.
RCMP say a man, 38, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed following an argument in Inverness in August.
They say Francis Xavier Forance, 55, turned himself in shortly after the incident.
Forance faces counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon.
He pleaded not guilty to all of his charges during an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; he’s scheduled to stand trial Nov. 2.
