Antigonish NDP acclaims candidate

A local provincial riding has its NDP candidate.

Members of the Antigonish NSNDP have called on Moraig MacGillivray to carry the banner once again, she was defeated by Randy Delorey in the 2017 provincial election.

The riding association announced her acclimation in a release Sunday.

MacGillivray works as a coordinator of youth programming aimed at ending gender-based violence with the Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre and Sexual Assault Services Association.

She says she her chief concern is to support the province’s recovery from COVID-19, but says she also plans to build on her commitment to climate, racial and social justice.
