Pair charged in Inverness Co. bust expected back in court in March

A man and woman arrested following a vehicle stop in Inverness Co. have had their case adjourned.

RCMP say tips from members of the public led to the stop in Waycobah in November.

They say they seized a firearm, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Theodore Basque, 45, and Doris Gould, 28, face trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.

The pair from Waycobah, whose case opened in court in December, were scheduled for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Wednesday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until March 7.
