UPDATE: RCMP say the suspicious death involves parties known to one another.
They say there was and is no risk to the greater public related to this incident.
The RCMP did not issue any lockdown requests to local businesses.
Police say the misinformation being spread within the community concerning an active shooter, multiple suspects and multiple victims is inaccurate and at no point during our investigation has this information been determined to be credible.

The RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 77-year-old New Haven man.
At approximately 9:05 p.m. Monday evening, Ingonish Beach RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death at a residence on New Haven Rd. in New Haven, Victoria Co.
They say investigators have since deemed the death suspicious and an investigation is underway.
