One dead after motorcycle crash on Highway 105

One woman is dead after a motorcycle crash on Highway 105 in Hillside Boularderie.

At 9:20 yesterday morning, RCMP were notified about the collision.

A motorcycle had been travelling east on highway 105 when it lost control, police say.

Both the rider and passenger were ejected from the bike.

The 58-year-old man who’d been operating the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with what police have called serious, but non life threatening, injuries.

The passenger, a 53-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway 105 was closed for eight hours while a collision reconstructionist was on scene; it’s since reopened.

The investigation is still ongoing.
