Sterling K. Brown will be filming in Nova Scotia!

Sterling K. Brown, maybe best known as Randall on This is Us, will be in Nova Scotia filming a new show.

It’s called Washington Black, a 9 part miniseries that is set in the 1800’s. It tells the story of an 11 year old who escapes from a plantation in the Caribbean, spending some time living in Nova Scotia. From what I can see, parts of the series will be set in both the Shelburne & Halifax areas.

The story is based on a book by Canadian author Esi Edugyan. The novel won the Giller Prize in 2018.

The miniseries reportedly will begin filming in 2022 & will air on Disney+ in Canada.
