ST.FX. students returning from winter break

Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish has announced when they plan to start their exams and winter semester. January 7-14 has been side aside for students to finish their exams from December. The winter semester is set to start on Monday, January 17th with the first two weeks of classes remaining online for most courses. Students have been asked to start returning to in-person learning beginning on Friday, January 28th, and classes are set to resume on Monday, January 31st. Students are encouraged to take a rapid test if available immediately before heading back to class.

If your test comes back positive, or you have COVID symptoms you’re asked to remain in place until cleared to travel and notify isolate@stfx.ca of their status. If a student lives on-campus University housing will accommodate a later move-in date after that student has recovered or has no symptoms.

All students who live on or off-campus must check in at the Keating Centre upon arrival. As part of the check-in process, students will be given two rapid test kits and are asked to test themselves as soon as possible and are asked to limit their movements until their second test is completed after 72 hours after their arrival.
