NSJHL Playoffs: Pirates Take on Division Winning Bulldogs

The battle of the Quad Counties is ready to kick off.

The second round of Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoffs will see the Strait Pirates and Antigonish Bulldogs battle it out.

Pirates Head Coach Tim MacMillan says he’s excited to play in Antigonish.

“Friday night in Antigonish, all kinds of students and local fans supporting the team. It’s a great building to play in anyway, it’s just a great place to play hockey, so it should be fantastic.” MacMillan said.

The Pirates swept their first series against the Eagles three games to none.

MacMillan says the team is ready to rise to the challenge.

“We’re gonna be ready. The Strait Pirates are definitely going to show up to play hockey and we’re looking forward to get started in Antigonish on Friday night.” He said.

The Strait Pirates finished the regular season with a record of 8-9-1.

The Antigonish Bulldogs finished their regular season with a 20-1-1 record at the top of the division.

Game one goes Friday night at 7:30 in Antigonish.
