After coming off two losses in Antigonish, the Strait Pirates return to home ice for game three of the series tonight.
The Pirates sat in the penalty box six times in game one.
That’s something head coach Tim MacMillan says needs to be worked on.
“If you look at the numbers their powerplay certainly did some serious damage, so we need to find a way to either limit our penalties, or when we take them, do a better job of getting the puck on our stick and down the ice.” He said.
MacMillan went on to say that in order to succeed against the Bulldogs, the team needs to match their effort.
“The first game I thought we did that, game two less so and if you give them an inch of ice, the Dogs can punish you. So I think we need to match or exceed whatever they’re bringing to the table tonight.” He said.
The puck drops tonight at 7:30 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.
