New Outdoor Rec Facility Coming to Inverness

The town of Inverness will be getting a new outdoor recreation facility.

MLA Allan MacMaster announced that the province will provide $610 thousand to help build accessible pathways, pickleball courts and basketball courts.

The funding is part of a larger investment that will see $2.7 million spent for sports and recreation in Cape Breton.

The Inverness Outdoor Recreation Facility will serve the entire region for tournaments, inter-school play, and tourist use, MLA MacMaster said in a release.
