Pair Found Guilty on Charges Stemming from Fishing Dispute Return to Court for Sentencing this Month

A father and son who were found guilty on charges in relation to a fishing dispute appeared in Antigonish Provincial Court yesterday.

RCMP say the charges stemmed from an incident where one fishing boat deliberately rammed another causing damage to the vessel.

Eric Victor Pace, 66, from Marie Joseph faced one count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vessel; Richard Pace, 47, from Marie Joseph was charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief Causing Danger to Life.

Richard Pace and Eric Victor Pace were found guilty last July.

Yesterday, they were given a new date for sentencing, the pair will re-appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on April 20th where they will receive their final sentencing date.
