Mary Jess MacDonald served in education for 37 years.
Between her time as the Board Chair for the former Strait Regional School Board, to serving on numerous committees and finding time to tutor students in math and literacy, Mary Jess always kept students at the forefront of her mind.
Paul Landry, Regional Executive Director for the Strait Regional Centre for Education says, he’ll always remember her smile and laughter.
“I remember how she used to arrive at Board meetings, she always had a smile on her face and a story to tell. I’ll remember her energy, her great sense of humour and of course her spirited laughter.”
Landry adds, “We’ll miss her dearly.”
Mary Jess MacDonald passed away on Tuesday.
