How the Local Autism Nova Scotia Chapter Has Helped Children This Summer

The Local Autism Nova Scotia chapter has provided assistance to children on the spectrum to allow them to attend local summer camps.

The chapter arranged for participants on the spectrum to have personal support workers attend camp with them so they can take part in the activities while having the support they may need.

The workers were able to attend camps in Port Hawkesbury and Mulgrave.

Natalie Stevens, the autism support coordinator hopes to partner with more summer camps soon.
