Local Baseball Team Wins Over 57 National Championship

A local amateur baseball team has won big at a tournament in Halifax.

The Petit De Grat Redcaps won the Canadian National Old Timers Baseball Federations over 57 National Championship.

The team played five games, playing against teams from Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia.

The team also had players from the Port Hawkesbury Bucs including Peter Clow who was awarded tournament MVP.

Team manger Richard Boudreau said it felt great to win the championship.

Both teams play in the Richmond Amateur Baseball Association.
