The RCMP is investigating a fatal accident that happened over the weekend.
It occurred on Highway 16 in Upper Big Tracadie on the morning of August 20th. The Antigonish and Guysborough RCMP and local fire and EMS services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at around 7:15.
An 18-year-old man from Beaver Bank driving a Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threating injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
