RCMP Investigating Vandalism and Theft at Three Antigonish County Provincial Parks

Three provincial parks in Antigonish County have suffered from vandalism and theft.

The RCMP received a report of damage and thefts at Arisaig, Pomquet, and Beaver Mountain Provincial Parks on August 18^th. Officers Learned the damage happened overnight, between August 17^th and 18^th

Beaver Mountain suffered damage to picnic tables and roof coverings, signage, and metal locks and power equipment, a gasoline can and tools were stolen.

Picnic tables, roof coverings, and a metal shed at Arisaig park were damaged and a gasoline can was stolen.

Pomquet Park suffered damage to some picnic shelters and a shed, and portable radios, a megaphone, a first aid kit, and an oxygen mask were stolen.
