RCMP Investigating Vandalism and Theft at Three Antigonish County Provincial Parks

Three provincial parks in Antigonish County have suffered from vandalism and theft.

The RCMP received a report of damage and thefts at Arisaig, Pomquet, and Beaver Mountain Provincial Parks on August 18th. Officers Learned the damage happened overnight, between August 17th and 18th

Beaver Mountain suffered damage to picnic tables and roof coverings, signage, and metal locks and power equipment, a gasoline can and tools were stolen.

Picnic tables, roof coverings, and a metal shed at Arisaig park were damaged and a gasoline can was stolen.

Pomquet Park suffered damage to some picnic shelters and a shed, and portable radios, a megaphone, a first aid kit, and an oxygen mask were stolen.
