Callum MacQuarries life is being celebrated at the Inverness Beach.
He was a quadriplegic swimmer that co founded the Inverness Beach Accessibility program along with Rose Mary MacDonald after hearing about a similar program in Florida. He became quadriplegic after suffering a spinal cord injury, and he passed away last year.
The program was started to allow people with physical disabilities to go the beach and to make the beach accessible using accessibility equipment such as mobility mats and mobility chairs.
The event is expected to have live music and it will provide a chance for families to go to the beach and have a good time.
The celebration begins a 3 in the afternoon this Saturday and will run until 7 o clock.
