A committee of the whole meeting was held for the Municipality of the District of Guysborough Yesterday.
Some of the items brought to the table included some requests to purchase municipality property and private land and the ongoing issues with the aging tennis courts.
In order to maintain the courts effectively, the plan is to do some repairs this fall, and then wait until spring before conducting more work.
This will hopefully improve the condition of the asphalt so that it is less likely to wear out. It’s estimated to cost over $100,000 in repairs.
It was also reported that local summer programs had a good turnout this year, now that things have returned to normal with COVID restrictions easing.
The municipality is expected to have a meeting with the Nova Scotia Health Authority on September 21st followed by their next regular council meeting.
