Antigonish Heritage Museum Honoring Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy

As Canadians mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, A book of condolence for the royal family is available for people to sign at the Antigonish Heritage Museum.

Curator Doctor Barry MacKenzie who is also a historian for the monarchy said they wanted to provide an opportunity for locals to pay their respects to the late monarch.

Earlier this year, Mackenzie curated a special exhibit in honour of the Queens Platinum Jubilee. It showcased more then one hundred artifacts highlighting the important role the monarchy played in Canadian history and identity. Most of the items were associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The museum is open on Weekdays from 10AM until 4PM.
