Community Grant Applications Approved for Inverness County Community Centre’s

With the help of financial assistance from the Municipality of the County of Inverness, two community centre’s in the County will soon be able to conduct their planned energy efficiency projects.

The Lake Ainslie Craft and Weavers Guild plans to replace their oil-fired heating system with heat pumps, and the Cranton Cross Road Community Centre plans to switch to LED lighting and upgrade their heating system as well.

The Municipality approved the community grant applications for both organizations at Yesterday’s council meeting. The County is expected to fund 20 percent of The Lake Ainsle Craft and Weavers Guild Project and the Cranton Crossroads Community Centre is set to get assistance from the District Two Community District Development Fund and the Scotia Wind Fund.
