The Municipality of the County of Antigonish discussed Hurricane Fiona recovery efforts at their last regular meeting of council.
Warden Owen McCarron stated that MP Mike Kelloway took a tour of the county to assess the damage done to local farms and discovered that crops were destroyed, and buildings were damaged, in many cases beyond repair.
Kelloway would like to assure residents that programs will soon be available to cover some of these losses and they should be announced in the coming days.
