They are the recipients of this year’s Creative Community Impact Award from Arts Nova Scotia and the Creative Nova Scotia Leadership Council. In recognition for supporting artists and for making a positive impact on their community through arts and culture.

Over the years the centre has taken their organization to new heights, that include a rebrand, hosting exhibitions including, “June Leaf in Mabou Since 1969” (Curated by Emily Falencki), showing leadership by raising $19.000 for Ukraine, creating an outdoor performance venue that showcased unique music, and for hosting regular workshops for students.

The centre would like to thank their staff, board members, and everyone else that helped to make 2022 a successful operation year. The prize will be presented at the Creative Nova Scotia Awards ceremony on November 10th.
