Town of Antigonish Planning a Meeting to Discuss Hurricane Fiona Aftermath

The Town of Antigonish plans to discuss the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona and how the community managed to keep residents safe.

“We’ve done a debrief internally with the advisory committee for emergency management for the Town and County, and we will be following up with a discussion with council on the event and the lessons learned so we are better prepared for the future.” stated, Town CAO Jeff Lawrence.

Both the Town and County took a hit from the Hurricane with widespread power outages and downed trees blocking access to properties. The date for this discussion has not been announced.
