The Town of Antigonish has adjusted their taxi fares. The fare for passengers will increase by two dollars from 9:01PM until 3:59 PM as follows.
One Passenger:
$8.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$10.00 from 9:01PM until 3:59AM
Two Passengers:
$8.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$10.00 from 9:01PM until 3:59AM
Three Passengers:
$9.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$11.00 from 9:01PM until 3:59AM
Four Passengers:
$10.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$12.00 from 9:01PM until 3:59AM
Five Passengers:
$11.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$13.00 from 9:01PM until 3:59AM
Six Passengers:
$12.00 from 4AM until 9PM
$14.00 from 9:01AM until 3:59AM
There will also be a charge of $1.50 for each additional stop on the way to the final destination and a $0.50 charge for waiting that exceeds the five-minute grace period
This is being done in response to the increase in gas prices that has put a strain on the industry’s ability to serve the community.
