Diesel crashes $2.50 per litre ceiling in N.S.

Another large hike at the pumps has pushed diesel over $2.50 per litre in many parts of the province.

The gas regulator dropped its interrupter clause on Friday night, which hiked the price by 15 cents.

Diesel is the main source of fuel for transport drivers, farming and shipping. There’s low inventories on the global supply market which is pushing prices up.

Gas did not change, but it is back up to $1.80 in many communities.
