Antigonish drug bust suspect expected in court

One of two men arrested following a drug bust in Antigonish is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case Wednesday.

Police say members of the Antigonish/Guysborough RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a home on Hawthorne St. in November.

They say officers seized a large amount of cocaine, marijuana and cash.

RCMP say two men have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Michael Benoit, 48, of Antigonish is expected in Antigonish Provincial Court; Coty Leblanc, 23, of Antigonish is scheduled to make his first appearance in the case Thursday.
