Town of Antigonish winter parking ban still in place

With significant snowfall expected for the Quad Counties, Residents of the Town of Antigonish are reminded that the winter parking ban on town owned streets and parking lots is still in effect.

The ban is in place to allow public works to clear snow. Parked cars obstruct their work.

Mayor Laurie Boucher says the ban is often enforced during the overnight hours 12AM to 7AM but they may also be enforced during and after winter weather events.

In an effort to avoid being fined, people should assume that the ban is being enforced and if in doubt, don’t park on the streets or in municipal parking lots.

The Town will remind residents of the parking ban during winter storms on their website and on social media.

The ban will be in effect until April 15th.

More information on the winter parking ban can be found on the Towns website: Parking | Services (townofantigonish.ca)
