We’ll begin to feel the effects of the storm on Saturday.
Shane Strong is the Regional Emergency Management Coordinator for Yarmouth County.
He says it’s important to have enough supplies to last 3 days.
“It’s always about being prepared, for at least 72 hours. If we’re busy, it might take that long to help somebody out,” said Strong.
Strong says they’ll be monitoring any flooding and fallen trees.
He says it’s best to stay home if you can, that will help keep first responders off the roads too.
