Nova Scotia RCMP, are searching for 79 year old Susan Bain of Middle River, N.S.
Bain was last seen walking her dog on Friday morning.
Crews searched all weekend, but have yet to locate the women.
Bain is described as, 5’7 about 125lbs, with white shoulder length hair and brown eyes. She may be wearing glasses.
Police ask anyone with information to give them a call.
The Municipality of Richmond County, are doing their annual cleaning on sewer mains.
The work is set to take place in Petit -De- Grat today.
The annual maintenance, is necessary to prevent blockages and back ups in the sewer system.
Officials are saying the pressures of a required proper cleaning, could cause back pressure. This process may come up through toilets and bathtub drains causing small messes.
To solve this problem, it’s asked that you run a small amount of water in all sinks, bathtubs, and flushing all toilets.
Residents in Antigonish will be without water this morning.
A scheduled water maintenance is set to take place at 9:30.
Residents on South River Road from William’s Point, Silver Birch Estates and the Oasis Trailer Court will all be impacted.
Water will be turned off until the maintenance is completed.
The Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience.
Municipal staff in Port Hood are currently working on sidewalk repairs.
The work is set to begin today and end on Friday.
The repairs are in the area of 9 and 217 High rd.
You’re asked to avoid the area, for the next 2-3 days if you’re able to do so.
Parking enforcement in Antigonish starts today.
If you’re parked on a town owned street or parking lot, and blocking snow removal crews, your vehicle will be removed.
The ban will be enforced, from 12 am until 7 am during declared weather events and snow removal operations.
The enforcement starts December 1st and goes until April 12th.
Residents in the town of Antigonish, are asked to save as much water as possible.
The Town will be conducting it’s water service starting at 7pm tonight. Residents are encouraged to save water for cooking, flushing and personal hygiene.
Motorists and pedestrians are told to use caution when entering the work area.
The Town of Antigonish apologizes for any inconveniences.

A Councillor for Guysborough district 7, has passed away.
Rickey McLaren, began his tenure on Guysborough Municipal Council in 2012.
McLaren was passionate about his role, and helping the residents of MODG.
Warden Vernon Pitts said ” the municipality is currently in mourning”.
Pitts also states, ” he will truly be missed around the council table”.
Sandy Macintyre a respected Cape Breton Violinist and longtime instructor at St. Ann’s Gaelic has sadly passed away.
In August of 2021, The Gaelic College honored Macintyre as an “honorary governor”, for his over 25 years of contribution to the college.
Sandy Macintyre was 86.
The 35 year old man, who was reported missing back on November 21st has been found safe.
Inverness County District RCMP, thank the public for their assistance and retweets on social media.
New documents show how much it cost taxpayers for the August 18th, housing evictions in Halifax.
It cost $50,000 for 64 police officers to respond and dismantle tents and sheds on public property.
“Spending almost $50,000 to evict a handful of people living in tents is gross. People were calling on governments to act on the housing crisis and instead,
they spent tens of thousands of dollars dispatching 64 officers. It was clear on August 18th and it is clear now; what people need are homes,” said NDP Leader Gary Burrill.
The clash between police and protesters resulted in 24 arrests.
The information was obtained through a Freedom of Information request, submitted by the NDP.
“The charges against the 24 people who were arrested must be dropped.” said Burrill.
