The latest StFX athletes of the week have been announced.
Azaro Roker, a forward with the X-Men basketball team, won the male award after he recorded a double-double- 17 points and 14 rebounds- in Friday’s 72-71 home-opening win against UPEI; he also had four assists.
Roker followed that up with a game-high 22 points in Saturday’s 88-75 home win against UPEI; he also grabbed four boards and added an assist, and was named player of the game.
Aliyah Fraser, an X-Women basketball guard, earned female honours.
Fraser recorded a game-high 27 points in Saturday’s 96-88 home win against UPEI; she also had five rebounds, three assists and two steals, and was named player of the game.
