The Brian Mulroney Institute of Government at St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) welcomes Bonnie Brownlee to their External Advisory Board.
She is expected to play a key role in the support of the Institute’s mandate to engage Canadians in important and timely discussions of key policy issues.
“Ms. Brownlee’s significant leadership and service experience makes her an excellent fit for the Board, and I know she will bring incalculable benefits to the Board, and the Institute,” says the Board Chair, Mark Mulroney.
Her career bridges politics, broadcasting, and fashion with her lifelong commitment in leadership, mentorship, and public service.
She began her professional journey as an Executive Assistant to Mila Mulroney, then moved to New York as Bloomingdale’s International Media Director.
Next, she returned to Canada for senior leadership roles at Astral Television Networks, Bell Globe Media, and CBC/Radio-Canada that shaped national conversations in media and culture.
As a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Canadian Women in Communications and Technology Mentorship Award, Brownlee has been widely recognized for her many contributions to communications as well as her dedication to mentor women in Canada and abroad.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations, Defence & Security from the National Defence College of Canada.
The External Advisory Board supports works of the Institute through various activities including fundraising and promotion.
