Building may become easier for residents in the Municipality of Inverness County.
The council is considering removing a building bylaw that requires residents to obtain a permit before constructing, altering, demolishing, or changing the use of a building.
They say the bylaw is now outdated and handled by Eastern District Planning Commission.
Residents are invited to share their feedback at the council’s next meeting happening on Thursday, October 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the Municipality of Inverness County Administration Building, Port Hood.
Written submissions can be submitted to Debbie Nicholson by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1 at 375 Main Street, PO Box 179, Port Hood, Nova Scotia, B0E 2W0 or emailed to Debbie.Nicholson@invernesscounty.ca.
Copies of the bylaws are available on the Municipality of Inverness County’s website.
