Building bylaw removed in Inverness County

Residents in the Municipality of Inverness County now have a new process when building.

They no longer need to obtain a permit from the County before constructing, altering, demolishing, or changing the use of a building.

The Council agreed on the building bylaw being removed without replacing it as part of an ongoing process to modernize bylaws in the County.

All permits, fees, and planning are handled by the Eastern District Planning Commission.

The municipal bylaws are available on their website.
