Canso Lions Club Off to a Good Start in 2023

The Canso Lions Club is starting the year on a high note.

The club had some special visitors from the 5th Canso Scouts and Cubs during its regular meeting.

Scouter Harold Roberts presented a certificate from Scouts Canada thanking the Canso Lions for 50 years of support for the scouting movement in the community.

The club has other big plans for the month of February.

They are planning to provide a free meal for students at the Fanning Education Centre/Canso Academy on February 10th and they will be having a drug awareness poster contest for the students to take part in.

They will also be running a pancake breakfast on February 19th from 9AM until 11AM with proceeds going towards the Lions Guide Dogs of Canada.

Their next meat roll will take place on February 17th and an Open Mike Music Night is set for February 24th
