The Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a report of a man found near a partially submerged vehicle in the Lake Road area of Glace Bay yesterday afternoon.
The man was unresponsive, and the Glace Bay Fire Services assisted bringing him to safety.
The 22-year-old victim was taken to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for treatment and was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.
