Celebration of life for Jen Powley

People gathered to pay tribute to Nova Scotia author and activist Jen Powley in Halifax.

Powley advocated for people with disabilities to have the option to live independently, rather than receiving care in seniors’ homes.

She died September 17th due to complications from multiple sclerosis.

A celebration of Powley’s life took place at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 on Saturday.
