Check fire restrictions before burning starting Sunday

The burn restrictions are back in place across Nova Scotia starting on Sunday, March 15.

With the wildfire season running from March 15 to October 15, you will have to check online if it’s safe and allowed to have an outside fire.

Halifax is reminding everyone to never leave your fire unattended as it could start to spread quickly and become dangerous.

They also say to completely extinguish your fire by dousing it with water and stirring the ashes repeatedly until everything is cool to the touch.

Starting on Sunday, March 15, you can check the fire restrictions map online here.
