Child in hospital as N.S. measles cases grow to 44

A child is in Halifax hospital with measles

Public health says the child is at the IWK and in stable condition.

They say all necessary precautions are in place to prevent the spread.

The latest case total stands at 44, all in the Northern Zone.

Public Health says there aren’t any new public exposure sites, and all previous ones are beyond the period of time for symptoms to appear.

They say more cases are expected, but the risk to the general public remains low.
