Columbus Field washrooms vandalized again in Antigonish

The public washrooms at Columbus Field in Antigonish are currently closed due to vandalism.

In a social media post, the Town of Antigonish says they are assessing the damage and working toward necessary repairs.

The same washrooms were vandalized in October 2024.

However, the splash pad at Columbus Field is now open after a temporary closure due to water conservation.

The Town does note, however, they are closely monitoring water levels and keeping an eye on the hot and dry weather forecasted over the next few days.

It is possible water conservation measures may need to be in place once again.
