Robert Finnegan and his niece Karley are cycling across the country for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.

They are expected to pass through Port Hawkesbury today before making their way to Newfoundland.

Robert is living with the disease and this journey of raising awareness means a lot to him and his family.

Canada has one of the highest rates of Crohns and Colitis’s and many people go undiagnosed.

So far, they raised almost six thousand dollars and you can learn more about the bike tour and how you can support them at adventureswithcrohns.com

Their journey started in Victoria BC back in May.

  • Kelly MacMillan lives in Port Hawkesbury with her husband and son. She has been part of the team at 101.5 The Hawk for more than 25 years, sharing stories from around the region. You can join her weekdays from 10am until 2pm.
