Ecology Action Centre Not In Favour of Proposed Cape Breton Island Golf Course

Nova Scotia Based Charity Ecology Action Centre is voicing their opposition to Cabot Cape Bretons plan to construct a new golf course on West Mabou Beach Provincial Park.

The organizations senior wilderness coordinator Ray Plourd says protected land that benefits the ecosystem and provides habitats for rare species should never be for sale. Plourd stands firm in his belief that they should do what other businesses in the province do when they want to develop a new project. Purchase their own real estate and leave protected lands alone.

The charity encourages anyone opposed to the project to reach out to their elected officials.
