Eight new COVID-19 cases reported; 13 recoveries

Public health officials have reported eight new cases of COVID-19 in the province.

Five of the new cases are in the central zone; four are close contacts and one is under investigation.

The other three are in the eastern zone; two are close contacts and one is being investigated.

There were 13 recoveries to bring us down to 92 active cases province-wide, including one each in the Antigonish-Guysborough and Inverness-Victoria-Richmond community health networks.

Four people are in intensive care; one other person is in hospital.

Provincial labs completed 5.142 tests Tuesday.
