An Eskasoni Man in in custody following a violent incident in the community.
On the morning of December 18th, the RCMP and EMS responded to the incident at a home on Pine Street. They learned that a woman had been stabbed multiple times by a man who fled the scene on foot. The RCMP officers found the man in the parking lot of their detachment and was arrested without incident.
The 43-year-old suspect Elvis Errold Janssens was remanded into custody and will make his first court appearance at Sydney Provincial Court tomorrow morning. He is charged with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats, and mischief.
The victim was taking to the hospital with life threatening injuries
