Open U10/U12 and U13/U14 Development Pathway Sessions in regions across the province. These sessions are designed to provide quality development opportunities while helping identify and support young athletes and coaches from all areas of Nova Scotia.
Program Eligibility
U10/U12 Sessions
Open to:
Athletes born in 2014 and 2015
Athletes born in 2016 with birthdays between January and June
U13/U14 Sessions
Open to:
Athletes born in 2012 and 2013
Sessions will be led by Basketball Nova Scotia’s Performance Lead, Anton Berry, and are open to athletes from the local area and neighboring communities, regardless of club affiliation or previous basketball experience.
Sessions will be co-ed and will focus on:
Fundamental skill development
Decision-making through small-sided games (SSG)
Injury prevention and movement education
Each session will be between 1.5 and 2 hours in length.
Our goal is to make these sessions accessible, inclusive, and development-focused while continuing to grow the game throughout rural Nova Scotia.

Coach Involvement
We would also welcome the opportunity to connect with club presidents and coaches from communities across the province. Coaches are invited to participate by assisting on court during sessions or by attending as observers.
