Music and the sea come together on Friday, July 31, as PianOcean – Notes on the Water, presented by KitchenRackets Organization, transforms St. Peter’s Lions Marina into a concert venue unlike any other.
Free admission for the public, and family-friendly. International artist Marieke Huysmans performs aboard her sailboat Lady Flow, bringing her PianOcean project to Unama’ki/Cape Breton, as she makes her first voyage to North America.
Joining Huysmans will be Cape Breton’s own Roger Stone and Kevin LeVesconte with Celtic trio Luke, Jordi and Kyle, for a free waterfront concert experience.
“PianOcean is about connecting people through music and place,” says Huysmans.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy local food from Louie’s Cosy Corner while the harbour comes to life in a concert experience the area has never seen before.
“We’re thrilled to welcome this experience to St. Peter’s as part of KitchenRackets” says organizer Greg Silver. “We are always looking to blend creativity, music and innovation to create a fun-filled and unforgettable experience.”
The event kicks off at 5 p.m. and has a rain date of August 1, 2026.
